The CEREC ® Omnicam can also record a video clip of your 3D model, enabling you to see which tooth needs dental work. It’s also easier to scan over your teeth due to its longer handle and bigger camera lens. In comparison, the CEREC ® Omnicam creates a color 3D model of your teeth with its continuous and automatic powder-free scanning. The CEREC ® Bluecam camera requires a coating of powder over your teeth and combines single snapshots to generate a black and white 3D digital tooth impression. Today I wanted to take a moment and tell you why we decided to adopt this new technology and how it will affect your future dental restoration work. In order to give you an even better experience here at The Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, we recently upgraded our CEREC ® digital impression technology from Bluecam to Omnicam.
