![]() ![]() if you need any pics of mine let me know. if you are lucky you may catch them when they aren't too busy. T3D may have a bit more info as they are doing stuff on type3s a lot of the time. ![]() If you can, post a pic of the area where the catch fixes to the pillar. you can always stick it back when youv'e had a look. you may have to cut the plastic covering where the catches locate to the pillar to see what holes there are behind. ![]() a bit of grease rubbed down the pillar is a good idea. also, the outer seal gets trapped next to the hinges and you have to cearfully prise it out with a thin screwdriver. i thought it a bit strange that they just go in dry with nothing to locate on. also, i had a devil of a time getting the two hook like hinges to locate into the door-shut post. Make sure you fit the catches to the right window with the lock knob up. i take it that you have had to search for screw holes behind the plastic trim with a thin screwdriver. You can get some of those threded studs that are fitted by using a special gun but if it were me i'd make a plate up and brase the correct nuts to it and then weld them into position after drilling the three holes in the pillar out to accommodate the nuts. It would appear that the cars that had fixed glass have no theaded fixings in the pillars then. Iv'e just re-fitted the pop-outs on my square after replacing all the seals. sorry to here about your pop-out problem.
